Gum Weapon Parameter Adjustments

The Ninjala development team is dedicated to ensuring that players can enjoy a wide variety of battling styles.
After careful observation of winning percentages and popularity by gum weapon and Shinobi Cards, we have implemented a host of balance adjustments.

Like last Season, SK8 Hammer, Sushi Axe, and GR8 Gear have been weakened due to their currently overwhelming power, while various weapons that had low usage and victory rates have been strengthened.
In addition, we have implemented a number of adjustments to each type of Ninjutsu and Gum Shoot as well.

We hope these refinements will allow players to continue to enjoy diverse styles of play in Ninjala battles.

*Balance adjustments will also take effect in Story Mode.

IPPON Katana Scroll Blade Shinobuzz Paper Fan

・Increased damage dealt from the 1st stage of normal attacks and 1st stage of back attacks.
・Slightly increased damage dealt from the 2nd stage of normal attacks and 2nd stage of back attacks.
・Slightly increased damage dealt from the 1st stage of wide attacks.

Chakra's explosive power made these great weapons, but its overall damage was low which made it difficult to defeat opponents with. As a result, it has been strengthened.
Its drone-destroying capabilities when used as a medium weapon have also been strengthened through this damage increase.

Scrap Saber Chewing V

・Increased damage dealt from wide attacks.

Opponents could escape fights since wide attacks didn't deal enough damage, so they have been strengthened.

SK8 Hammer Sushi Axe GR8 Gear

・Slightly decreased damage dealt from back attacks.
・Extended the cooldown time of Power Buster.
・The following adjustments have been made to Super Strength Strike:
 Increased damage.
 The blast from explosions can no longer be guarded against.
 Hit reaction has been altered so that your opponent is blown away.

SK8 Hammer Type weapons have been deemed too strong since they had very high usage and victory rates in both Battle Royale and Team Battle, so they have been weakened.
The recovery period for Power Buster while it is being prepared has been increased even after cancelling, so more caution will be needed when using it.
Additionally, Super Strength Strike's damage has been increased in exchange for it being harder to use Gum Shoots to chase down opponents. The skill's individual offensive power has also been increased since the explosion can no longer be guarded against.
Since it will become difficult to defeat high-health opponents without giving them a chance to counterattack, its surprise and finishing attack ability has been increased.

Pop Eye Cerberus

・Increased damage dealt from the 1st-3rd stage of normal attacks.

Usage rates were low since normal attacks didn't do sufficient damage, so they have been strengthened.
Recovery rate has also been increased in accordance with damage, so we hope their improved combat ability will cause them to be used more frequently.

Home Run Surfer Ninja Calibur

・Hit reaction has been altered for Overpowering Wave so that your opponent is not blown away.
・The following adjustments have been made to Surfing Cannon:
 Increased damage.
 Increased projectile speed for charge levels 1-2.

Before, this weapon's power could be only activated in limited situations, so its Special has been strengthened to increase its power.
After opponents are hit with Overpowering Wave, it is now easier to follow up with Gum Shoots and Ninjutsu to finish them off.
Plus, you will now get more out of using Surfing Cannon to steal drones and perform surprise attacks.


Dragon Lord

・Damage has been increased.
・Gum damage has been increased.

It was lacking in its ability to finish off opponents compared to other Ninjutsu and has therefore been powered up.
It will now be easier to defeat targets with this Ninjutsu.


Gum Ghost

・Hit reaction for medium and large size has been altered so that your opponent will stagger longer.
・Cooldown time has been extended for medium size.

Combo performance has been adjusted to make better use of its ability to consume S-Energy.
In addition, the Cooldown time of medium size has been adjusted in accordance with the increase to how long combos stay in effect.

Gum Laser

・Hit reaction for medium and large size has been altered so that your opponent will stagger longer.

Considering what you get out of not being able to Gum Bind, knockback time has been increased.
It will now be easier to finish off opponents that have been trapped by lasers.

Gum Shot

・Shortened the time of Gum Bind from medium size.

Although difficult to use, being able to Gum Bind with a single shot of medium size has been deemed too strong, so it has been weakened.
It will be possible to escape combos with high life, so you will now need to aim for using large size like with other Gum Shoots.


Iron Bind
・Increased cost.
・Reduced the cost of "Explosion".

Since there were no downsides to using Iron Bind, it secured its place as a strong Shinobi Card.
Due to its high usage and victory rates compared to other Shinobi Cards, as well as its strength, its cost has been increased.
In exchange, the formerly high-cost "Explosion" has been adjusted.
